Overseasidol.com — On September 5, actress Vivian Chen’s studio issued an official statement addressing recent online rumors accusing her of behaviour like a “diva”.
The statement emphasized that Chen has always cooperated actively with promotional work throughout her career.
It also explained that neither the actress nor her current team had retained contact information with the “Sweet Just Thirty” movie’s production team, but they are now making efforts to reconnect.
The studio sincerely requested the production side to reach out through their official email and urged the public not to spread unverified rumors.
The controversy arose after Chen was absent from the premiere of her latest film, which also stars Vanessa Zhao Wenqi and Yang Yuexin.
When asked about her absence, director Qu Xiaoyu claimed that they were unable to locate her.
He further stated that attempts to contact Vivian Chen’s manager, who is also her sister, had gone unanswered.
According to him, even after sending a screenshot of the contract clause requiring promotional obligations, no reply was received.
