Overseasidol.com — The new small-town healing drama “Xiao Cheng Liang Fang”, produced by Ningmeng Pictures and co-produced by iQIYI, officially began filming today.
The series is written by Nie Chengshuai, directed by Zhang Xiaobo, with Su Xiao as chief producer and Xia Jie as producer.
The drama stars Xiao Zhan in the lead role, alongside Ni Dahong, Jiang Yan, Shi Pengyuan, Jiang Ranzi, and Zhang Guoqiang.
It also features Wang Yanlin in a special role, with veteran actors Chen Jin and Liu Hua joining the cast, promising a heartwarming story filled with life and healing in a small town.
The series follows Liu Zhengliang (played by Xiao Zhan), a once-promising doctor who faces a major setback in life and is forced to return to his hometown to start over.
There, he gathers a group of “unreliable” yet kind-hearted people to take on meaningful tasks together.
Amid the warmth and simplicity of daily life, they deliver one emotional “prescription” after another, healing not just others but also themselves.
The cast lineup has sparked strong anticipation. Xiao Zhan is set to portray a more grounded and emotionally complex doctor, sharing the screen with veteran actors Ni Dahong, Jiang Yan, Jiang Ranzi, Zhang Guoqiang, and rising star Shi Pengyuan.
The ensemble also includes Wang Yanlin, Chen Jin, Liu Hua, and Jiang Hongbo, bringing together multiple generations of talent.
