Chinese actress Zhou Dongyu recently shared a personal story about learning to embrace her appearance and build self-confidence.
In a special post as a “guest editor for a day,” Zhou reflected on her journey from feeling insecure about her eyes to fully accepting and appreciating her unique features.
The actress revealed that she used to feel self-conscious because her eyes were considered too small.
As a child, she tried different methods to make them appear bigger, including wearing false eyelashes and intentionally widening her eyes.
Over time, however, Zhou’s perspective changed. Life experiences helped her realize that beauty is not defined by the size or shape of one’s eyes.
She explained that moments such as skiing through falling snow and connecting deeply with characters on stage taught her a valuable lesson about self-worth and confidence.
