Overseasidol.com — On April 28, actor-turned-professional racer Wang Yibo addressed his withdrawal from the second round of the 2025 China GT Championship in Shanghai through a personal social media post.
Reflecting on the weekend, he described the experience as both thrilling and bittersweet.
“There were surprises and regrets, but that’s racing, luck doesn’t always favor you,” he wrote.
Wang had a strong start in the first round on April 26, winning the GT3 AM category and finishing seventh overall.
Unfortunately, due to front-end damage and a malfunctioning turbo sensor, he was forced to pull out of the second race on April 27.
Still, Wang remains hopeful and looks forward to future races.
