He becomes entangled in a political marriage with Xie Jiayu, the intelligent and spirited daughter of a high-ranking official, portrayed by Ai Mi.
Initially mistrustful of each other, their bond evolves as they navigate a turbulent world filled with political intrigue and national crisis, becoming allies and confidants.
The storyline combines intense palace politics with lighthearted and romantic elements.
At the opening event, Hou Minghao expressed excitement for portraying the complex and noble role of General Xiao.
He hopes to bring a layered and heartfelt performance. Ai Mi also shared her enthusiasm for playing Xie Jiayu, a bright and dynamic character she finds especially charming.
