Overseasidol.com — Veteran Chinese actress Liu Xiaoqing issued an official statement on August 8, 2025, firmly denying any involvement in tax evasion.
Liu stated that earlier reports accused her and related companies of violating tax laws.
However, after a thorough review by the tax authorities, no issues were found as alleged.
“Paying taxes in accordance with the law is the legal duty of every citizen.
I will continue to comply with national laws and regulations, and pay taxes with integrity,” Liu wrote.
The tax bureau also released an official report confirming no evidence of tax violations was discovered.
Back in April 2025, Liu was publicly accused by a person named Wang of tax evasion.
The case was initially accepted and investigated by the Fourth Inspection Bureau of the Shanghai Taxation Department. Liu refuted the claims, calling them malicious and inconsistent with the facts.
Court records show that in connection with a civil case filed by Wang against Liu and other parties, a hearing is scheduled for September 12, 2025, at the Futian District People’s Court in Shenzhen.
