Overseasidol.com — Renowned Taiwanese actress Shu Qi recently shared her honest thoughts on aging as she prepares to celebrate her 50th birthday.

In an interview with Renwu Magazine, she reflected on growing older, physical changes, and how her perspective on age has evolved over time.

Shu Qi candidly described herself as having entered the “half-century” stage of life. When asked whether she fears aging, she admitted that she does.

However, her concerns are not primarily about appearance, but rather about her physical condition and overall health.

She explained that she has become more cautious about injuries, especially the possibility of falling.

According to her, bone pain feels more intense at this stage of life compared to when she was younger.

She gave a simple example: walking down stairs in high heels. In the past, she could do it effortlessly and quickly.

Now, she moves more carefully and consciously protects her body to avoid harm.

Despite acknowledging that her stamina is not what it used to be, Shu Qi emphasized that age is ultimately just a number to her.

She has never viewed turning 50 as something negative or intimidating. While she admits that her physical endurance has declined, she does not see her age as a limitation.
