Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese idol group AKB48 Team TP has officially announced eight new research students (Kenkyuusei) for their 6th generation.
The reveal took place during today’s stage performance, drawing excitement and cheers from fans.
Among the new members, the biggest surprise came from Liu Yan Ning, who is only 13 years old.
She becomes the youngest member ever in the group, even younger than Xiao Yu from the 3rd generation.
Fans were shocked to learn that she was born in 2011, calling it “so recent it feels unreal”.
Here are the 8 new members of AKB48 Team TP 6th Generation:
- Lin Yun Hsi – Xixi, born April 18, 2003, height 164cm.
- Hu Yung Ching – Yiqi, born April 21, 2003, height 168cm.
- Yang Chia Yi – Lele, born January 11, 2004, height 166cm.
- Xu Chun Yuan – Tuanzi, born March 16, 2004, height 163cm.
- Yu Zi Lei – Leilei, born June 21, 2008, height 160cm.
- Chang Hsin Chiao – Yumena, born November 23, 2008, height 168cm.
- Lu Hsin En – Yuanyuan, born January 1, 2011, height 163.5cm.
- Liu Yan Ning – Ningning, born December 16, 2011, height 163cm.
With members ranging in age from 13 to 22, this new generation is expected to bring fresh energy and diversity to AKB48 Team TP.
Fans are already looking forward to their future performances and official debut on the main stage.
