Chinese singer and actress Chen Zhuoxuan has opened up about her health condition after recently stepping back from public appearances and work commitments.
On June 18, Chen shared photos of herself undergoing acupuncture treatment on social media, captioning the post with the message, “Please, stay strong, my ears,”.
The update quickly drew attention from fans, prompting her studio to release an official statement confirming that she has been diagnosed with patulous eustachian tube dysfunction, a condition affecting the passage between the middle ear and the throat.
According to her management team, Chen first noticed symptoms while recording music programs and working on her upcoming album.
She experienced difficulty hearing her own pitch, rhythm, and breathing while singing, which significantly affected her performance during recording sessions.
Medical examinations later confirmed that the condition has also impacted her daily conversations, fitness routines, and other regular activities.
Her studio explained that they initially chose not to disclose her diagnosis, hoping for a quick recovery and wishing to avoid causing unnecessary concern among fans.
Following medical advice, Chen Zhuoxuan has been instructed to reduce long-distance travel, avoid intensive vocal use, and limit activities that may trigger fatigue or changes in air pressure. (Overseasidol.com)
