Overseasidol.com — Chinese family drama film Dear You, continues to dominate the box office with impressive performance.

On May 10, coinciding with Mother’s Day, the film recorded approximately 36 million CNY or 5 million USD in daily earnings, marking its highest single-day revenue since release.

This achievement propelled the film to the number one spot in the daily box office rankings, surpassing competitors such as Vanishing Point, which earned around 25.19 million yuan on the same day.

In total, “Dear You” has accumulated about 137 million yuan after 11 days in theaters.

In addition to strong earnings, the film has also seen a rise in screening allocation, reaching 19.4 percent and ranking second in terms of showtime distribution, overtaking Cold War 1994.

Its audience attendance rate stands at 10.9 percent, significantly higher than its competitors.

With this upward trend, industry tracking platforms in China predict that the film’s total box office could exceed 400 million yuan.

Other projections estimate a final gross of around 370 million yuan, highlighting strong confidence in its continued performance.

The film’s success is largely attributed to its emotionally resonant storyline, which centers on family bonds and love for parents, themes that deeply connect with audiences.

The timing of Mother’s Day also played a crucial role in boosting ticket sales.
