Overseasidol.com — On July 18, the manager of Chinese actor and singer Fan Chengcheng issued a firm statement on social media, condemning obsessive fan behavior, widely known as sasaeng activity.
The statement followed an incident where four sasaeng cars trailed Fan Chengcheng from the airport all the way to an event venue, even attempting to pose as staff to gain entry into restricted areas.
According to the manager, the vehicles dangerously drove alongside Fan Chengcheng’s car, surrounded the windows, and tried to take photos illegally.
Such actions not only endanger the artist but also put public safety at risk.
The statement outlined strict prohibitions, including banning fans from following the artist at airports, train stations, and hotels, entering restricted spaces such as lounges, jet bridges, baggage claim, and train carriages, as well as taking invasive close-up photos with flash or engaging in physical contact.
The management also forbade discussing or leaking any undisclosed personal schedules or obtaining the artist’s travel details through illegal means.
Fan Chengcheng’s team stressed that any sasaeng activity will be immediately exposed to the public.
For severe cases, they will contact law enforcement and pursue legal action to safeguard the artist’s privacy and security.
