The series is adapted from the web novel Love and Punishment by the Shores of Weiming Lake by Ni Lv Zhu Ren, which has gained popularity among readers.
The story follows two law students at Mingde University, Yu Lei and Chen Ke, portrayed by Sun Caizhen and Liang Beiyi.
Their first meeting seems ordinary, but it soon becomes clear that they will have a profound impact on each other’s lives.
Yu Lei is confident and bold, while Chen Ke is quiet, reserved, and tends to keep emotional distance from others.
Despite their contrasting personalities, their connection gradually deepens, with Chen Ke unexpectedly becoming someone who challenges and changes Yu Lei.
As they navigate their academic journey, feelings begin to grow between them. However, both choose to hide their emotions rather than confront them.
