Overseasidol.com — Chinese superstar Huang Xiaoming has sparked widespread discussion after revealing a harrowing accident he suffered 12 years ago while filming The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom.
The revelation came during a recent variety show appearance, where he openly shared details of the life-altering incident.
The accident occurred in 2012 during a wire stunt scene. Huang Xiaoming explained that the safety cable suddenly snapped, causing him to fall from a height of approximately six to seven meters, equivalent to a two-story building.
He landed feet first, resulting in severe trauma to his left foot. The impact caused six bones in his foot to fracture into multiple pieces, a complex injury that required immediate surgery.
Doctors implanted four metal screws and two steel pins to stabilize the shattered bones.
Despite the severity of the injury, Huang Xiaoming returned to work after only about 40 days of recovery in order to complete filming.
Unfortunately, the consequences of the accident have been long-lasting.
Huang Xiaoming revealed that he still experiences pain when walking for extended periods, along with bone overgrowth and visible deformation on the top of his foot.
These complications have become permanent conditions he must live with.
