Overseasidol.com — Chinese actress Li Yitong recently appeared on a talk show where she opened up about her role in the hit drama “A Dream Within A Dream” and shared amusing stories from her personal life.
Li Yitong described her character Song Yimeng as rare and compelling “eccentric yet deeply affectionate”.
She noted that both the script and dialogue are quite abstract, but this allowed her to explore a wide emotional range in her performance.
Talking about working with her co-star Liu Yuning, Li Yitong said she initially thought he would be lively and outgoing, just like he appears in his street singing live streams.
He thought that Liu, who was so energetic and happy to work together, would not need his initiative to “break the ice”.
However, she was surprised to find that he is actually quiet and reserved on set.
