Overseasidol.com — Netflix has officially announced that the hit series “Alice in Borderland” will return with Season 3 on September 25, 2025.
Alongside the announcement, Netflix released the main trailer, key art, and new still cuts.
The series is based on the best-selling manga by Haro Aso, published by Shogakukan in 18 volumes.
A sequel manga titled “Alice in Borderland: Retry” was also released between 2020 and 2021.
The live-action adaptation stars Kento Yamazaki as Arisu and Tao Tsuchiya as Usagi, directed by Shinsuke Sato.
Since its debut in December 2020, Season 1 reached the TOP 10 in over 70 countries and regions.
Its success continued with Season 2 in December 2022, which entered the TOP 10 in more than 90 countries and ranked #1 in 17 regions.
The story of “Alice in Borderland” captivates viewers with deadly “games” (げぇむ) that test strength, intelligence, and teamwork.
Emotional struggles combined with thrilling action have made it a global hit.
Season 3 picks up after the mysterious appearance of the “JOKER card” at the end of Season 2.
Arisu and Usagi, who had returned to the real world and married, face a new nightmare.
Usagi is abducted back to the Borderland by a man named Ryuji, who studies life after death.
In despair, Arisu returns to the Borderland with the help of An, determined to save Usagi.
Returning cast members include Hayato Isomura, Ayaka Miyoshi, and Katsumi Maiguma.
New additions to Season 3 are Koji Ookura, Risa Sudo, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi, Tina Tamashiro, Kotaro Daigo, Hyunri, Sakura Kiryu, Yugo Mikawa, Joe Iwanaga, Akana Ikeda, and Kento Kaku.
