When asked about the biggest challenge in her new role as a director, Shu Qi admitted that it was controlling her temper and learning patience.

She shared that managing the chaos on set required emotional discipline. “There are about 800 things happening at once during filming, and it’s easy to get frustrated,” she explained.

Shu added, “I had to learn to control my EQ. Whenever I felt really irritated, I would go to a quiet corner, take deep breaths, and calm myself down,”.

The actress-turned-director described the process as a major step in personal growth. Through “Girl” Shu Qi hopes to connect with audiences on a deeper emotional level, showing both the pain and strength that come from growing up.
