Overseasidol.com — On September 4, the press conference for the film Girls, an official selection at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, was held.

Actress Shu Qi, who directed for the first time, admitted she felt tremendous pressure.

She explained that being an actress was more about doing her part well and looking presentable. But as a director, she had no time to think about appearances.

Shu Qi confessed that her biggest fear was not doing a good job.

She said that since waking up in the morning, she had been too anxious about the evening premiere to care about her makeup, hairstyle, or outfit.

Instead, she kept thinking whether audiences who saw the film yesterday liked it, and whether today’s reactions would be positive or negative.

She admitted the pressure dragged her back to the nervous feeling she had before shooting even began.
