Former SNH48 and CKG48 member Li Hui is back in the spotlight as her contract dispute with Siba Media continues to unfold.
The entertainment company is reportedly seeking 650,000 yuan (about US $96k) in damages over an alleged breach of contract.

The case is scheduled to be heard in court on July 3, 2026. While the legal process is ongoing, Li Hui’s rapid rise after leaving Siba has attracted widespread attention.
After spending seven years under Siba without reaching the top tier of popularity, Li Hui joined group livestream platform Qianjinfu in October 2024. Within just a few months, she achieved the top-ranking position she had long pursued.
Her success has sparked intense discussion among fans, many of whom believe her career flourished after stepping away from the traditional idol management system.
During her final years with Siba, Li Hui reportedly faced several restrictions.
In 2023, the company allegedly requested access to her personal social media accounts, including Xiaohongshu and Douyin, while also limiting her content activities.
Fans have also linked the dispute to broader tensions surrounding CKG48 following the disbandment of SHY48.
As one of CKG48’s most recognizable members, Li Hui has become a key figure in the conversation.
Since joining Qianjinfu, Li Hui has undergone a remarkable transformation. In addition to reaching the platform’s top position, she reportedly lost around 11.5 kilograms within four months.
Her story has reignited discussions about the changing landscape of China’s idol industry.
Group livestream platforms such as Qianjinfu are increasingly seen as offering more flexibility, stronger fan engagement, and better resource allocation. (Overseasidol.com)
