One of Thailand’s most iconic horror movies, Ladda Land (2011), is officially getting an Indonesian adaptation.

Titled Perumahan Laddaland, the remake is produced by MD Pictures and directed by Awi Suryadi, the filmmaker behind several successful Indonesian horror movies.

The movie stars Titi Kamal and Andri Mashadi as a married couple who move into their dream housing complex in search of a better life.

However, their hopes for a peaceful future soon turn into fear as a series of mysterious events begins to haunt their new neighborhood.

The original Ladda Land, released in 2011, became a major success across Thailand and Asia.

The movie starred Kong Saharat and Pock Piyathida as the parents, alongside Punpun Sutatta and Tuk Deuntem as their children.

Beyond its chilling atmosphere, Ladda Land earned praise for its emotional storytelling about family struggles, financial pressure, and relationships.

This combination of horror and heartfelt drama helped establish the movie as one of Thailand’s most influential horror titles, especially among Indonesian audiences.

As a result, Perumahan Laddaland has become one of the most anticipated Thai movie remakes of 2026.

With Awi Suryadi’s signature style and a localized approach, the adaptation is expected to deliver a fresh cinematic experience while preserving the spirit of the original story. (Overseasidol.com)
