Overseasidol.com — The Asian music industry is witnessing a new innovation as GMM Music partners with Warner Music Asia to launch a new record label called GLIIDE, introducing a fresh model for artist development.
Unlike traditional systems that often prioritize quick results, GLIIDE approaches artist development as a “design process”.
This concept focuses on building an artist’s identity, creativity, and long-term direction in a more thoughtful and sustainable way.
The name GLIIDE is inspired by the concept of a glider, which moves not through force but by utilizing lift and wind direction.
This philosophy reflects the label’s mission to support artists in reaching their full potential organically, enabling them to grow both regionally and on a global scale.
The label has already begun teasing its first artist through a series of visually creative and cryptic social media posts.
The artist, known as SVRN (pronounced “Sovereign”), is described as someone who communicates identity through a blend of visuals, sound, and movement.
The launch of GLIIDE marks another strategic move by GMM Music in expanding its international collaborations.
Recently, the company has also introduced other joint ventures such as G&LDH with Japan’s LDH and GX10 Asia in partnership with Tencent Music Entertainment.
