Overseasidol.com — The Chinese drama previously known as “You Xi” has officially changed its title to “Ai Shang Ling Yige Wo”, internationally referred to as “My Drama Missy” on May 9, 2026.
The announcement quickly became a trending topic online, with many viewers discussing the drama’s intriguing “two souls in one body” concept.
The series is adapted from the novel Drama Goddess by author Ming Yue Dang.
According to the production team, the new title better reflects the story’s core theme, especially the dual-personality character played by Wu Xuanyi.
She portrays Ye Xingxing and Xin Ling, two contrasting identities within the same character, which forms the emotional and psychological center of the story.
The drama also focuses on the unique connection between the female lead and the male protagonist Sui Yi, played by Zhai Xiaowen.
Their relationship develops through what the series describes as a “soul-frequency connection”, creating a romantic bond tied closely to the drama’s fantasy and psychological elements.
In addition to the title change, the production has also reduced the episode count from the originally planned 30 episodes to 18 episodes.
The adjustment is reportedly intended to create a more compact and engaging storyline.
