Overseasidol.com — Actors Zhai Xiaowen and Wu Xuanyi have sparked online buzz following rumors that the two will reunite in an upcoming drama.
The speculation gained traction quickly as the duo previously starred together in “Huai Shui Zhu Ting” and “Shi Jie Wei Chen Li,” where their on-screen chemistry was widely praised.
Addressing the rumors, Zhai Xiaowen’s team released a statement to clarify the situation.
They confirmed that Zhai had joined a new drama but emphasized that the decision was not influenced by the involvement of any co-star.
“Both the male and female leads were already confirmed. We accepted the project based on professional agreement, not because we knew who else would be cast.
There is no intent to chase CP (couple) hype,” the representative explained.
The team also dismissed speculation of “backstabbing” or deliberately seeking popularity through pairing rumors.
“Casting decisions are fully handled by the production team. Nobody knew in advance that they might be paired again,” they added.
Although the drama’s title and release schedule have not been officially announced, the possibility of Zhai Xiaowen and Wu Xuanyi reuniting has already left fans eager to see their chemistry on screen once again.
