Overseasidol.com — The contract dispute involving Chinese singer-actress Wu Xuanyi and her agency Yuehua Entertainment has once again captured public attention following the release of a negotiation video featuring her mother and company representatives.
The footage, published on April 30 by entertainment media, shows Wu Xuanyi’s mother questioning the transparency of her daughter’s contracts over the past decade.
She claimed that she had never been given access to key documents related to Wu Xuanyi’s professional work, including acting and endorsement agreements, despite requesting to review them.

In response, Yuehua Entertainment stated that managing such contracts is part of an agency’s responsibilities.
The company also argued that not all individuals involved typically review these documents directly.
They further explained that unless contract terms explicitly grant access, such arrangements are not automatically included.
The emergence of this video has intensified the ongoing dispute between Wu Xuanyi and her agency, which previously centered on contract renewal disagreements.
The situation has reignited discussions about transparency and fairness in artist-management relationships.
