Overseasidol.com — Taiwan-based idol group AKB48 Team TP marked their seventh anniversary with a special media press conference, the first since their debut.

The celebration became even more memorable when former member Sin Tik-kei made a surprise appearance to show her support.

During the event, the group performed the Mandarin version of “Oh my pumpkin!”, a refreshing take that thrilled fans as AKB48 in Japan prepares for its 20th debut anniversary.

Sin Tik-kei also brought a special cake featuring the support character design from their latest single “Will You Wait for Me?” or “Ni Hui Deng Wo Ma?”, created in collaboration with Japanese illustrator Oguri Eikun.

Lin Yu-hsin, who took center stage for “Oh my pumpkin!”, also shared her recent trip to Japan.

She not only acted as a translator for sister group members but also brought pineapple cakes and nougats as gifts, showcasing a true Taiwanese touch.
