Overseasidol.com — Chinese health company Wenzhou Dejirui Health Management Co., Ltd. has been heavily penalized after authorities found it guilty of conducting false advertising aimed at consumers.

According to recent business risk information, the company was fined 1.8 million yuan and had its business license revoked by the Lucheng District Market Supervision Administration in Wenzhou.

Founded in June 2018, the company operated in the fields of health services, health consulting, and information consulting.

Despite its relatively small registered capital, the company drew national attention after becoming involved in several controversies, including an image rights infringement case involving Chinese celebrity Jackson Yee.

Court records previously revealed that in September 2025, the company was ordered to publicly apologize to Jackson Yee for using promotional posters that violated his portrait and name rights without authorization.

The case sparked public discussion over the misuse of celebrity images for commercial marketing purposes.

The company later became even more controversial after being mentioned in CCTV’s annual 315 Gala investigative program, which exposed misleading marketing tactics used by height-enhancement institutions in China.

In the report, Wenzhou Dejirui Health Management was accused of using questionable promotional strategies that could mislead consumers.
