Veteran actor Tony Leung Ka-Fai admitted he was surprised to receive the Best Actor award at the China Film Directors’ Guild Awards 2025 on July 5, 2026.
He earned the honor for his performance in Chasing the Wind.
Speaking after the ceremony, Tony revealed that he did not expect to win and had not even prepared an acceptance speech because he never imagined his name would be announced.
During the interview, Tony also praised Jackson Yee, who won the same honor last year and was nominated again this year.
He described the young star as a versatile actor with impressive talent across different types of roles.
