China’s entertainment industry is once again in the spotlight following a legal dispute involving actress and singer Ju Jingyi and her former management company, Siba Media (STAR48).
According to corporate records platform Qichacha, the Beijing Dongcheng District People’s Court has scheduled a hearing for an unfair competition lawsuit on June 23, 2026.
The case involves Shanghai Siba Culture Media Group as the plaintiff, with TH Entertainment, an individual identified by the surname Zhou, and Ju Jingyi named as defendants.
The lawsuit has attracted widespread attention because Tianhao Shengshi Entertainment is one of the production companies behind Ju Jingyi’s upcoming drama, Veil of Shadows.
This is not the first legal action involving the former SNH48 member.
Siba previously filed another unfair competition lawsuit against Ju Jingyi and the production team of her drama Wan Hua Sin.
That separate hearing is scheduled to take place on June 29, 2026, at the Putuo District People’s Court in Shanghai.
As of now, neither Ju Jingyi nor Tianhao Shengshi has issued an official response regarding the latest legal proceedings. (Overseasidol.com)
