Overseasidol.com — Chinese actor Jackson Yee recently shared his thoughts on being nominated for Best Actor at the 38th Golden Rooster Awards.
In an interview with China Movie Report, he expressed deep gratitude for the recognition he received for his performance in the film “Big World”.
Yee said he approached the role with fearless determination at the time.
“Back then, I was full of drive. Whatever role came my way, I thought, ‘Okay, I can do it.’ I just wanted to give my best and didn’t think too much,” he recalled.
He admitted that looking back now, he’s amazed at how much confidence he had during that period.
The actor also revealed that he has become more cautious when taking on challenging roles.
“Now I wouldn’t dare to take on a character like Liu Chunhe so easily. I used to think three times before accepting a role, but now it’s five or six. There are many things I have to consider,” he said.
Jackson Yee’s performance in “Big World” has been widely praised for its emotional depth and authenticity.
His nomination further solidifies his reputation as one of China’s most talented young actors in the film industry today.
