Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese actor and singer Prince Chiu, is currently in the spotlight following a court ruling in a spousal rights violation case.

On April 28, a Taiwanese court ordered him and fellow artist Meigo to jointly compensate the plaintiff, Zack Fanchiang, with NT$1 million in damages.

In response, his agency, China Fun Entertainment, issued an official statement affirming that Prince Chiu respects the court’s decision.

The statement also noted that he will take the opportunity to reflect on the situation and evaluate the matter responsibly.

At the same time, the agency expressed concern over the spread of unverified information online throughout the case.

It stated that various rumors, misleading statements, and circulated content have negatively impacted the reputation and rights of those involved.

As a result, the company has begun collecting evidence and plans to pursue legal action against parties responsible for spreading false information.

The case stems from a lawsuit filed by Zack Fanchiang, who accused the two artists of infringing on spousal rights.

The Shilin District Court ruled that both defendants must bear joint responsibility for compensating emotional damages.

Despite the ruling, the legal process is not entirely concluded.

Additional matters, including the division of assets such as property and studio ownership, remain to be resolved.

Certain details of the judgment have also been withheld from public disclosure to protect personal privacy.
