Thai actress Mai Davika has candidly shared her thoughts on marriage and family planning, revealing that she has not yet made a final decision about having children.
The 34-year-old star admitted that the possibility of becoming a mother remains “50:50” at this stage of her life.
She also revealed that she has not undergone egg-freezing treatment, despite receiving recommendations from doctors to consider the procedure.
According to Mai, her hesitation comes from concerns about the hormonal injections involved in the egg-freezing process.
She worries that potential physical discomfort and emotional changes could affect her daily life and professional commitments.
As an actress who is currently busy with film and television projects, she explained that she fears mood swings or emotional stress could interfere with her work on set.
She wants to avoid creating difficulties for colleagues during production. Mai also shared her perspective on modern parenthood.
While she occasionally jokes with her longtime partner, Ter Chantavit, about having a child someday, she emphasized that starting a family is not currently part of their immediate plans.
The actress believes that raising a child requires much more than simply making time. Financial readiness is equally important.
She recalled seeing an estimate suggesting that raising a child through elementary school could cost around 8 million baht, even under a basic budget.
For now, Mai Davika prefers not to rush into such a life-changing decision.
She confirmed that she has no plans to have children within the next one or two years and remains focused on her acting career and upcoming projects. (Overseasidol.com)
