Chinese veteran actor Yu Hewei has once again earned one of the highest honors in television after winning Best Actor at the 31st Magnolia Awards during the 2026 Shanghai TV Festival.
He received the award for his powerful portrayal of Wu Shi in the drama Dark Dive 1950.
The victory marks Yu Hewei’s second White Magnolia Best Actor trophy.
He previously won the same award in 2021 for his acclaimed performance in The Awakening of Age, further cementing his reputation as one of China’s finest television actors.
During his acceptance speech, Yu Hewei said he felt deeply honored and fortunate to receive the prestigious award once again.
He acknowledged that every actor nominated this year delivered outstanding performances, making the recognition even more meaningful.
