Overseasidol.com — Chinese actress Zhao Lusi has sparked a heated discussion after making a bold statement during a recent live broadcast.

She asked fans not to send virtual gifts, revealing that all proceeds go directly to the company rather than to her.

The statement came after Zhao had been streaming for six consecutive days, leaving her voice hoarse.

Initially, many assumed her refusal to accept gifts was due to contractual obligations.

However, her candid explanation shocked the public, as she remains under contract with her agency and openly discouraged revenue for the company.

This move is considered risky, as few artists openly reject potential income streams for their agencies.

This is not the first conflict between Zhao Lusi and her management.

On August 2, she took to Weibo to accuse Galaxy Cool Entertainment of withdrawing 2.05 million yuan from her studio’s account and refusing to return operational control.

She even hinted at the possibility of being blacklisted. According to Zhao, the company had promised to cover losses from a canceled endorsement due to her illness.

Instead, they directly took money from her account. Despite multiple discussions, the matter remained unresolved, and Zhao ultimately paid the compensation herself.

The controversy has fueled public debate in China over financial transparency in the entertainment industry and the courage it takes for artists to speak out.
