Overseasidol.com — Chinese rising actor Cisha opened up about his role as Xi Wang and Xi Meng in the The Shadow’s Edge movie.
In an exclusive interview, he shared his excitement about working alongside Jackie Chan and Tony Leung.
Cisha revealed that the very first movie he ever watched was a Jackie Chan movie.
Meeting the action legend in person felt like a dream come true. Meanwhile, during fight scenes with Tony Leung, he admitted he was worried about hurting the veteran actor.
Tony reassured him, saying, “Go all out, if you miss, it’s fine,”.
When asked about fans who enjoy creating “CP” pairings between characters,
Ci Sha laughed and said he never expected it. He jokingly added, “I even ship myself, I like myself. Fans’ imagination is just so fun,”.
As a mainland actor breaking into a “Hong Kong-made” production, Cisha credited his kung fu skills while also working hard to learn Cantonese.
Regarding the film’s delayed release, Ci Sha said that popularity is not something he seeks.
He believes timing is fate if success comes, he will embrace it, but if not, he will still enjoy his craft wholeheartedly.
