Overseasidol.com — Veteran Chinese actor Feng Yuanzheng has recently shared his thoughts on the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the entertainment industry, particularly in acting.
In an interview, Feng questioned whether AI can truly replicate human emotions and depth in performance.
He emphasized that AI lacks essential human qualities such as warmth, life, and emotional subtlety.
“Does AI have blood? Does it have warmth? Can it express delicate emotions? If not, then it is just a lifeless image,” he said.
Feng highlighted the fundamental difference between human actors and AI-generated performances.
According to him, real actors draw from personal experiences and genuine emotions, while AI relies purely on data and programmed systems.
He also addressed the tendency for new technologies to be overly embraced at first, noting that every innovation goes through cycles before stabilizing and being refined over time.
Despite his concerns, Feng encouraged people not to fear technological advancements. Instead, he stressed the importance of personal skill, passion, and adaptability.
“As long as you have talent and capability, you won’t be replaced by AI. If you truly love acting and persist, new opportunities will come,” he added.
