In its official announcement, DH, the company managing AKB48, stated that an internal investigation discovered that Hanada had maintained private contact with a specific fan.
According to management, Hanada initially explained that the meetings occurred only twice by coincidence.
However, after conducting interviews and reviewing information from related parties, the company concluded that the meetings had taken place multiple times.
The agency emphasized that private relationships with fans violate AKB48’s rules because they can affect member safety, fairness among group members, and trust from supporters.
